We have a few things to let you know.
We will be capturing your ID document and your face via your device camera. We collect this data on behalf of our customer who is using our services to verify your identity. We will use the data to verify your identity against government databases and will share it with government agencies and other third party systems, including credit reporting bureaus, to undertake the data matching process - see below for more details*. You will also need to grant the APLYiD app permission to access your device camera and location information for this purpose.

Applicant Consent
I confirm that I am authorised to provide the personal information and ID documents presented and I consent to APLYiD:

collecting my personal information on behalf of its customer for the purpose of verifying my identity;

sharing my data with third party systems to undertake the information matching process to verify my identity; and

using and storing my personal information in accordance with the APLYiD Privacy Policy linked above which I have reviewed.

DVS: The Document Verification Service (DVS) is a national secure online system, which enables authorised entities to electronically verify Evidence of Identity (EOI) documents issued by a range of Australian, State and Territory government agencies. With your consent, we will use the DVS to verify the validity of your Australian issued identity documents.
DIA: The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) serves and connects people, communities and government to build a safe, prosperous and respected nation, it is responsible for issuing and maintaining all New Zealand passport information. With your consent, we will use the DIA to confirm the validity of your New Zealand passport.
NZTA: The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) is a New Zealand Crown entity tasked with promoting safe and functional transport by land, including the responsibility for driver and vehicle licensing, and administering the New Zealand state highway network. With your consent, we use the NZTA to confirm the validity of your New Zealand driver’s licence.
Centrix: Centrix is a New Zealand-owned and operated credit bureau. Centrix helps businesses make informed decisions on consumers, businesses, employees and tenants by providing, with your consent, information from your credit file to confirm if there is a match on your name, date of birth and address within their records. The use of your personal information for electronic identity verification with Centrix does not constitute a credit check or impact your credit score in any way.
Experian: Experian is a global credit bureau that operates in Australia, the UK and globally. They collect and analyse the credit histories of over one billion people and businesses globally to produce credit reports. These are used by businesses to help make decisions about lending and lending terms. Experian provides an on-line identification service which, with your consent, will advise if the Experian credit bureau database holds details confirming your identity, including your address. Use of this service does not impact your credit score or access any credit payment data held by Experian.
GBG Group: GBG Group is an identity verification, location intelligence and fraud prevention company. GBG offers software and data that helps organisations validate and verify the identity of their customers. GBG products are built on data obtained from the major UK credit bureaus amongst hundreds of other global partners.
